The foundation of the Etruscan City, the example of Bologna

Massimo Maracci, Director of Cultura Italiana, Italian Language School of Bologna, Italy, will lead a conversation with Lisa Pieraccini, Professor of Classics at UC Berkeley, and with Mary Tolaro Noyes, author of the book Bologna Reflections: An Uncommon Guide, about the developmental elements of the Etruscan city, later Roman. The Medieval urban reconstruction, with references to today's Bologna.

The event will be followed by refreshments and wine from the region of Bologna, offered by Cultura Italiana.

In collaboration with Cultura Italiana, Comune di Bologna, and Istituto Italiano Scuola of San Francisco.
