Offices
The Istituto is located in a historic, red-brick building that dates back to 1910. It consists of three floors plus a basement and lies in the historic Jackson Square design district, nestled between the Financial District and the Italian neighborhood of North Beach.
There are two galleries on the first floor which host the Istituto's art exhibits and events.
The Istituto Italiano Scuola is located on the second floor, and offers Italian language courses of various levels.
There is a multimedia conference hall on the third floor where guests can enjoy concerts, film screenings, and lectures, as well as occasional art exhibits. The third floor is also home to the Istituto's administrative offices, as well as a sunny library and video library where visitors are welcome to read at their leisure.
