The Italian Cultural Institute in San Francisco promotes, organizes, and sponsors a variety of events with the goal of strengthening the cultural exchange between the United States and Italy. All initiatives are conceived to offer the American public a deeper and wider knowledge of contemporary Italian culture.
Where and How
With a few exceptions, all events taking place at the Istituto are free and open to the public. Events taking place at other venues, on the other hand, may require admission fees. Members of the Istituto are often entitled to discount tickets. Detailed information on tickets and admission will be posted with the announcement for the specific events.
For select events it is possible to place a reservation by clicking the Reserve button that appears in the event’s page. After successfully completing the procedure, users will receive an automatic email reply with a link to confirm the reservation within 4 days.
Programs are subject to changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Notices will be posted on this website and sent by email to the Newsletter subscribers as soon as possible.
The section Istituto events provides a list of the events (current and future) that are organized by or with the support of the Istituto. Detailed information on current events is shown in individual pages for each event. A list of Istituto events for a particular category is obtainable by clicking the link for that category. Past events can be searched by date, category, titles, and names.
The section Events elsewhere includes announcements of events related to Italian culture that are organized by other Institutions in our area of jurisdiction without the participation of the Istituto. A list of other events for a particular category is obtainable by clicking the link for that category. Past events can be searched by date, category, titles, and names.
